Kimberlee Ouwroulis, a 44 year old dancer from Canada sued her Toronto-based employer on grounds of discrimination, citing that she was fired for her age. The story about Kimberlee Ouwroulis was first made public in the National Post.

Kimberlee Ouwroulis, a female from the Toronto area, began her career as a female dancer began some 4 years ago. According to Kimberlee Ouwroulis, just recently, her boss called her into his office, where he let her know that her career as a stripper had ended.

Kimberlee Ouwroulis claims that her boss made it clear that she was being fired on the grounds of her age. The boss had told her that earlier in the day, another older dancer had been fired from the club. That other stripper was nearly 50 years old. According to Kimberlee Ouwroulis’s boss, the club was seeking to adopt somewhat of a “younger” look.

Not satisfied with the grounds of her lay of, Kimberlee Ouwroulis filed a discrimination complaint with the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario to combat the lay off. In the meantime, Kimberlee Ouwroulis is working at another club.
