Carlo Ventre, the man who attempted to kidnap his daughter in the late ’90s, died today while testifying in court. Ventre was on trial for killing his daughter’s mother after she attempted to bring the girl back into the United States. The killing took place in Ventre’s Rome apartment. I can’t say I’m heavily saddened by his death…but I do find it quite suspicious. It reminds of Ken Lay’s death. Just before sentencing he had a heart attack. Very strange…I’m curious to see whether they will perform an autopsy on him.
