Police in London kept a car bomb from detonating early Thursday morning in a popular tourist destination. The car, a Mercedes, was parked outside the Tiger Club in Haymarket when paramedics observed smoke coming out of it. They proceeded to contact police, who when arrived found the car contained propane tanks and gasoline vulnerable to explode at any time.

Police will be examining the car along with images taken by security cameras nearby. This is not the best thing to wake up to, but I’m happy things didn’t go as the bombers planned. That explosion could probably have killed hundreds of people. My question is: why do these terrorists have such a fixation on London? Who remembers the July 7th 2005 bombings? Anyway, I’m confident London police will apprehend somebody very soon in connection with this.
