Je Niece Childress, Bernie Mac’s 30 year-old daughter, said Monday that her along with Mac’s family had hopes for a full recovery. These hopes fell short last Saturday when Bernie Mac died as a result of complications with pneumonia and his existing sarcoidosis condition. Je Niece Childress said that her and her mother were ready to face whatever was thrown Mac’s way. He had been in the hosptial since July.

Bernie Mac’s career spanning nearly two decades was subject to many successes. He landed some very coveted roles in hits including Oceans 11 and and The Transformers. Mac was also one of the Orignial Kings of Comedy.

We once again wish Mac’s family the best in coping with this extremely unforunate situation. It’s quite apparent to us that he received a large amount of support from his family, and a large amount of additional support from his fans worldwide. We applaud Je Niece Childress for opting to speak about the situation, as it’s been a mere days since the passing of her father. We wish the whole family all the best!
